Lankan Court Releases Indian Fisherman

The 43 Indian fishermen, who were apprehended by the Sri Lankan Navy on Wednesday night, were produced before a magistrate court in Trincomalee and released yesterday.
They were in a residence provided by the Indian High Commission in the port-town.
A High Commission official stated that, the High Commission had rushed its officials to Trincomalee, and had made provisions for food, clothing and residence to ensure that the fishermen were treated with respect.
