Social Services Deputy Minister, Chandrasiri Sooriyaarachchi was wounded in a car accident this morning at Habarana,.
The accident took place while the Deputy Minister was travelling to Polonnaruwa.
He is now being treated at the Polonnaruwa hospital for hand injuries.
